When starting a radio station (whether online or terrestrial), there are several things to put in place. There is the need to get your studio space ready, and also get the necessary equipment. But that isn’t all.
One important thing you’ll be needing is the right broadcasting software to help you live stream to your listeners.

Rocket Broadcaster is just one of many applications that can be used to broadcast live through your Socastin Kontro Server, and it has both a free version and a paid version.
It has a simple interface that helps you stream  from your computer. It also comes with a lot of features, and it is very simple to operate.
Other Broadcasting softwares includes OBS Studio, Audio Hijack, AltaCast, RadioDJ, BUTT, Mixxx, Serato DJ, among others.
But in this article, we’ll be looking at how to broadcast live on Socastin Kontro radio Server with Rocket Broadcaster.

Step 1: Download a copy of Rocket Broadcaster
First, you need to download a copy of Rocket Broadcaster into your computer.
You can download the free version of the software by visiting https://www.rocketbroadcaster.com/ .
The Rocket Broadcaster software is compatible with Windows operating systems from Windows 7 to the later versions.

Step 2: Install the Software
This is the next step after downloading the software. You need to install it on your computer before you can begin to operate it.
It doesn’t take long to install the Rocket Broadcaster software, and you should reboot your computer once you’ve completed the installation process.

Step 3: Open the software
After you have downloaded and installed a copy of Rocket Broadcaster software, open the application on your computer.

Step 4: Set up a new Broadcasting project
Once you’ve opened the software, click on file to set up a new broadcasting project. Set up a DJ account and give it any name you like. It doesn’t have to be the name of a real DJ as you’re only using the name for the purpose of identification.

Step 5: Fill in your connection details
Here, you enter the details of your Socastin Kontro Radio Server into the software. You input necessary details such as username, password, server IP details, etc.

Step 6: Test your stream
Once all this has been set up you’ll need to test your stream.
Click on ‘test stream’ to go live. Every box displayed will be marked green, and it will show On Air, meaning you’re now live. If this doesn’t happens, then you need to go back to your settings to correct any error.

Step 7: Start Broadcast
Input the name of the programme you’re broadcasting, including the artist name and then click the ‘Start Broadcast’ button in the Rocket Broadcaster Interface. Make sure you’re connected to a strong internet to get the best of your live stream.

Step 8: Stop Broadcast
Click the ‘Stop Broadcast’ button when you are done broadcasting.

Note: Certain features in Rocket Broadcaster are reserved for the paid version and the software only works on Windows.
